Executive Director, Part Time
The San Francisco Art Dealers Association is seeking a self-motivated, organized, community minded individual with formal gallery and/or arts administration experience to manage, coordinate, and enhance the membership, activities and community engagement of the Association.Founded in 1972, the San Francisco Art Dealers Association (SFADA) is a non-profit organization composed of 48 member galleries throughout the Bay Area. SFADA seeks to promote the highest standards of connoisseurship, scholarship and ethical practice within the gallery community. SFADA contributes to the advancement of fine art in the San Francisco Bay Area by investing in the professional development of its members and forging relationships with both public and private organizations. Member exhibitions and collections range from historic works to the cutting edge in all media: sculpture, painting, works on paper, textiles, video, film and installations. Member galleries present work by emerging and midcareer artists as well as early, modern and contemporary masters.
Job Description
Primary Purpose
Reporting directly to the Board, the Executive Director facilitates all policy and committee decisions initiated by the Board. The ideal candidate will be proactive with ideas for promotion, member and public programming, community collaborations, and fundraising. In addition to Board and membership responsibilities, the Executive Director is responsible for all administrative needs of the Association.
