Journeys by Great Writers

My California - journeys by great writers

Purchase My California through Angel City Press

My California: Journeys by Great Writers is an exciting collaborative publication by CaliforniaAuthors.com and Angel City Press. Now in its seventh printing, the proceeds from sales of this volume of narrative travel and adventure stories by 27 California authors and journalists benefit the California Arts Council and literature programs statewide.

This unique project is made possible through the generosity of everyone involved-the editors, the publisher, the printer, the original publicist, and all 27 authors. Additionally, artist David Hockney and the J. Paul Getty Museum have granted permission to use Mr. Hockney's Pearblossom Hwy. 11-18th April 1986 (second version) photo collage for the cover. This extraordinary gesture is a display of generosity, civic responsibility, and a great concern for the state of public funding for the arts in California. The California Arts Council especially thanks Paddy Calistro of Angel City Press and Donna Wares of California Authors.com for their spearheading of the project and their continued efforts to make this project a success.
