Senate Chambers is venue for California's Poetry Out Loud State Finals: Standing-room only expected at event on Monday, March 23

Words will fly when the students stand in the ornately decorated state Senate chambers on Monday, March 23. But it won't be discussion of policy or debates about budget issues from these teens. It will be poetry, and the students will be the county champions of California Poetry Out Loud.

California Arts Council to Meet in Sacramento March 11

The California Arts Council will meet on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at the California Museum for History, Women and the Arts at 1020 "O" Street, Sacramento, CA 95814, 916-653-7524. The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end at approximately 3:30 p.m.
