Don't forget to tweet and fan us at Twitter and Facebook

We've only been on Facebook and Twitter for about three weeks now, but the California Arts Council already has hundreds of fans on Facebook and followers in Twitter. Our most recent posting noted that returning veterans seek volunteer positions with nonprofits to re-connect with their communities, but aren't asked enough. Businesses for the Arts in California? Show support with Arts License Plates!

Businesses have a serious incentive to put Arts Plates on their cars, now that the Franchise Tax Board has made it clear that California Arts Plate fees can be considered a charitable contribution to the California Arts Council. Our New Year's Resolution will be to contact as many businesses as possible and ask them to consider putting the iconic image on their car and contribute back to the arts. We need feedback from all arts lovers in California, though ... so if you have an idea, tell us! Email Mary Beth Barber at mbarber@cac.ca.gov, or post a comment on our Facebook wall or discussion page.
