Peer-Review Panel for the Creating Public Value Program April 18-21

The California Arts Council will conduct a peer-review panel of applications to the agency's Creating Public Value program (2010-11) on April 18, 19, 20, and 21, at the California Arts Council offices at 1300 I Street, Suite 930, Sacramento, CA 95814. 

Poetry Out Loud Makes a Difference in California Teens' Lives

The national finals for Poetry Out Loud are coming up at the end of the month (April 28 and 29), and the California state champion -- Robert Marchand of Monterey County -- will be preparing for the intense two day contest against 52 other state and territory champions in Washington, DC. The program in Monterey County has been very successful in California, producing two state first-place winners and one runner-up in the past three years.
