California's "Arts Ecology" and participation above national rates, new study finds
A new study supports what many in the Golden State already know about our cultural landscape: California has more arts nonprofits and higher participation in the arts than the national average. Arts, Culture and Californians, a report from the Irvine Foundation released this week, takes a look at California's "arts and culture ecology."
New PSA to promote California Arts Day -- available in English, Spanish and Chinese
The California Arts Council has released an animated public service announcement (PSA) highlighting the importance of the arts in the state and California Arts Day on October 7, 2011. The PSA is available for broadcast in three languages: English, Spanish and Chinese.
