Arts in Corrections Informational Hearing on May 3
Senator Curren Price, Chair of the Joint Committee on the Arts, will convene a number of Arts in Corrections experts on May 3, 2013, in Los Angeles for an informational hearing. Californians receive $3.98 million in NEA grants

Two Californians in State Dept. Music Abroad Program
Two California musical groups have been selected to partake in "American Music Abroad 2013-14," a program from the U.S. State Dept. The California Arts Council will meet on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at The Autry National Center. The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at approximately 5:00 p.m., and includes a session of the Arts Council Strategic Plan "Listening Tour" from approximately 1:00 p.m. to the conclusion of the meeting.
