New Program Links Creativity and Common Core

This week marks the launch of "Creativity at the Core," a project of the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association, funded by the California Arts Council in partnership with The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. This statewide initiative will help teachers and administrators navigate the new Common Core standards by using the arts in professional development training, leading to student success in Common Core and 21st Century learning.   MORE >>

Seeking Organizations for Arts-in-Corrections Pilot

Ovation CEO Charles Segars Calls for Restored Arts Funding

In an opinion piece published in Capitol Weekly, Ovation CEO Charles Segars, a longtime advocate for public arts funding, states, "Our rapidly evolving global economy demands a dynamic and creative workforce that requires support for the arts at all levels.
