Artists in Schools guideline workshops to be held throughout state

Potential grantees can find out information about popular California Arts Council program in arts education

Sacramento -

The California Arts Council, in conjunction with various local arts agencies throughout California, will conduct a series of guideline workshops for its "Artists in Schools" program in February. The intent of the Artists in Schools program is to integrate community arts resources--artists and professional art organizations--into a comprehensive, standards-based program that underscores the critical role that the arts play in shaping a student's overall well-being and academic achievement.
