Artist Call DetailInterfaith Art exhibit
For California artists
EXHIBITION THEME AND GOAL
The theme of the exhibition is “Collaboration and Connection” in which we aim to encourage artists to connect with other artists and collaboratively create artwork for the exhibition. We are seeking artwork that expresses a commitment to interfaith understanding, coexistence, peace, and cultural dialogue.
Artists from all faiths and cultures are invited to participate.
A collaborative piece must have at least two participating artists involved in which all collaborators have creative input into the artwork created. We encourage any kind of collaboration, however, interdisciplinary collaborations and collaborations between artists of different cultures or faiths or between people of the same faith but different branches (such as different denominations of Christianity or Judaism or branches of Islam) are particularly encouraged. Each artist can submit a maximum of two Art Proposals collaborating with different artists.
We seek original artwork in various mediums including but not limited to painting, drawing, calligraphy, photography, sculpture, ceramics, glass, textile, digital art, installation, and mixed media. At this time we cannot accommodate performing art and video art. All artwork must be the original creation of the participating artists submitting the artwork.
All artists at any level and with any style are encouraged to submit artwork.
NOTE: The process of participation to the exhibition this year is different from all the past years. This year we are asking for collaborative Art Proposals first instead of individual artwork. Please read the entire conditions and process and submit your proposal accordingly: http://interfaithart.org/2017-exhibition-submission
