The California Arts Council offers technical assistance in a variety of forms. Technical assistance funds are used to support development opportunities and activities that bring the Arts to the broadest constituency.
The California Arts Council partners with national services organizations, individual consultants and other technical assistance providers to conduct organizational needs assessments and cultural resource surveys to assist in strengthening the infrastructure of local arts agencies.
The agency continues its partnership with the National Arts and Disabilities Center (centered at UCLA) which includes support of the Arts and Accessibility Technical Assistance Grant Program.
California Arts Council staff travels the state conducting program guideline workshops and consultations to applicants and grantees and is available for assistance on a daily basis via phone, email or at the California Arts Council offices.
The California Arts Council has provided scholarships and/or travel assistance to conferences including the 2006 California Alliance for Arts Education conference, the 2007 conference of The Association of American Cultures and the California Arts Council's 2007 and 2008 statewide conferences.
